About Us

Daniel Fodie maritime professional solutions
Daniel has been on or around the water since the age of 6. Recreational boating turned into military service when he joined the Navy as a technician aged 17. After 5 years service a new challenge was undertaken when he commenced a boat building apprenticeship at one of the worlds leading Superyacht manufactuerers  'Alloy Yachts' located in Auckland New Zealand. Daniel spent 6 years with 'Alloy Yachts' before being lured overseas to Abu Dhabi to work on perhaps (at the time) the most exciting Superyacht project in the world. It was the construction of 'YAS', an ex navy frigate that was converted to become one the the worlds most luxurious private vessels. Now he finds himself in Australia, where he has been project managing refits of bulk carriers, naval vessels, superyachts and everything in between. Daniels drive to suceed has only increased since establishing this company with his good friend Joel.
Joel Allingham maritime professional solutions
Joel has always had a passion for everything related to the ocean and the water. Growing up by Sydney harbour and being a keen surfer it was inevitable that his career would  end up in the marine industry.
Joel has vast experience within the marine industry and has been involved in over 20 vessel new builds and countless refits to pleasure craft, commercial ferries, defence force vessels and Superyachts.
Joel has experience in projects locally and internationally conducting projects in Brisbane, Gold Coast,  Sydney, Newcastle, Cairns, Darwin, New Caledonia, U.S.A, Turkey and the Maldives.
Joel and Dan both share the same passion for the industry, quality workmanship and customer service and decided to create MPS where they could combine their experience to offer an outstanding service to the marine industry across a vast range of vessel types and sizes.
ACPB armidale class patrol boat
Since the beginning, defence work has formed a major part of MPS’ business. To date MPS has provided project management services for more than 25 maintenance activities across both the Navy’s Armidale Class Patrol Boat (ACPB) fleet and the Australian Border Force’s (ABF) Cape Class Patrol Boat (CCPB) fleet. These activities range from time critical service visits to annual refits and remediation periods taking place in Darwin, Cairns and Brisbane. Completing these activities on-board government owned assets, whilst adhering to strict DNVGL classification and Navy requirements has fine-tuned the way MPS manages and executes it projects.

To compliment the management services MPS has been providing, they are now providing design and manufacturing services for engineering upgrades to the ACPB fleet
“It has been evident that the employement of Dan and Joel as Waterfront Superintendents has improved a number of areas which were previously deficient. Both men are resourceful and proactive in their approach to each task.”

Superyachts are the pinnacle of luxury afloat, and as such MPS take the upmost care when working on-board every vessel. Both MPS Directors have gained trade qualifications and experience from building and maintaining Superyachts and they understand the intricacies of working on a very expensive asset whilst meeting strict deadlines and budgets.

With MPS being based in one of Australia’s premier Superyacht refit facilities ‘Rivergate Marina and Shipyard’, they are attending to the needs of luxury vessels large and small

From design to production, MPS provide cost effective manufacturing in most materials. With access to industry experts including Naval Architects, Mechanical Engineers and Draftsman, they can bring your idea to life.
Most notably MPS won a contract to design, prototype and manufacture an entire fleet set of void ventilation heads to be fitted to the Navy’s Armidale Class Patrol Boats (ACPB). The MPS design will drastically decrease the amount of sea water and moisture laden air entering the vessel’s bilges, which in turn will decrease the amount of hull corrosion currently being experienced
