Machinery & System Installation, Maintenance, Repairs, and Upgrades
The MPS engineering team provides full-spectrum mechanical, and systems support for all classes of marine vessels. Precision Fabrication and Machining
The MPS fabrication and machining division delivers high-accuracy metalwork and component manufacturing across a wide range of marine-grade materials, including stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium, and CuNi alloys. Our team comprises qualified aluminium boat builders, coded pipe welders, and experienced boilermakers — ensuring all work meets class and OEM standards.
Capabilities include:
- Fabrication and MIG welding of aluminium, stainless steel, and carbon steel.
- Fabrication, TIG welding, and purge welding of aluminium, CuNi, and stainless-steel piping systems.
- Manual lathe and milling operations across all ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
- CNC routing for precision cutting and profiling of aluminium and engineering plastics.

Project Management, Design & Drafting
MPS has successfully delivered project management and engineering support for over 25 maintenance and upgrade programs across both the Royal Australian Navy’s Armidale Class Patrol Boat (ACPB) fleet and the Australian Border Force’s Cape Class Patrol Boat (CCPB) fleet. Our in-house design team and draftsmen provide comprehensive technical solutions to support engineering upgrades, modifications, and documentation requirements.
Capabilities include:
- End-to-end project management for both small- and large-scale marine engineering projects.
- Detailed administration, progress tracking, and technical reporting.
- Design and drafting services, including 3D modelling, technical drawing packages, and concept development.
