MPS were engaged by Rivergate Marina & Shipyard as the main Engineering contractor for the major Refit of the Queensland Governments – Department of Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation vessel “Reef Ranger” in 2025. The project involved a full main engine repower including the installation of 2 x MAN main engines with full OEM DPF and SCR exhaust systems, Generator re-power to 2 x CAT C4 gensets, along with survey works to hull valves, driveline upgrades and much more. The final result being an environmentally friendly and far better performing vessel to continue its important and amazing work on the Great barrier reef.
