ACPB Refits Another wet season endured in Darwin by Dan and Joel as they rotated for 5 months between the Brisbane workshop and Darwin Naval Base. Diverted flights and cyclone avoidance dockings did not stop them from meeting scheduled end dates for all activities managed by MPS.
The service of MPS project managers was called on again early this year. This time it was for management of refits onboard various Cape Class Patrol Boats. Time was spent in both Darwin and Cairns working in with the major stakeholders Serco Defence, Austal and Norship.
MPS have been engaged to supply 117 vent head units that will be installed to the Royal Australian Navy’s ACPB fleet this coming year. We have been working closely with the fleet maintenance provider ‘Serco Defence’ for over a year now, to design, manufacture and test a prototype. What an amazing 8 months Joel and I had getting stuck back into the Armidale Class Patrol Boat fleet in Darwin and Cairns. We throughly enjoyed our time as Waterfront Superintendents and working in with the SERCO Defence crew, by all accounts our time onboard proved very usefull and benefical to all involved.

We are located in the heart of the Rivergate Marina and Shipyard Complex and ready to service all your marine requirements. We have facilities to machine, fabricate and weld most materials; as well as conducting onboard servicing and repairs.
